Every Veteran Should Have a Place to Call Home

a dmv community rooted in care, advocacy, and action

We’re providing essential support and fostering long-term stability. Inspired by the resilience and courage of those who have served our country, our mission is to address the unique challenges Veterans face by connecting them to vital community resources and offering tailored, culturally sensitive interventions.

Our mission Is simple

We house Veterans

We provide care packages to homeless Veterans, including hygiene products, clothing essentials, food, and comfort items. These care packages not only meet immediate needs but also serve as a bridge to comprehensive support, offering information on shelters, VA services, and other critical resources.

We Envision a FUTURE WHERE NO Veteran is LEFT without a place to call HOME

Looking ahead, our ultimate goal is to establish a shelter in Maryland—a safe haven where Veterans can access holistic services, including housing assistance, mental health support, and vocational training.

How are you doing? Really?

Chances Are Times Have Been Tough Lately. You’re In the Right place If You’re Struggling With…

housing instability

“Black Veterans are more likely than their white counterparts to face homelessness due to the intersections of race, socioeconomic status, and a history of systemic discrimination.” (National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, 2020).)

food insecurity

At Annie B’s Serenity Center, we recognize that addressing food insecurity is a critical step toward empowering homeless Veterans and fostering long-term stability. Through our care package initiative, we provide essential non-perishable food items, high-protein snacks, and bottled water to ensure that those in need have immediate access to sustenance.

Lack of access to resources

Our community resource initiative provides direct connections to housing programs, VA benefits, mental health services, job training, and emergency aid. Through personalized outreach and advocacy, we ensure that Veterans are not only aware of these services but also receive guidance on how to access them effectively.
